Melissa Brown is a Partner at Daobridge Capital, a private investment advisory firm, where she focuses on opportunities linked to energy, agriculture, and supply chain efficiencies.
In Asia since 1988, she analyzed Asian investments for 15 years as a sell-side equity analyst at Barclays and JPMorgan, and as a managing director of research at Citigroup. She led a range of first generation Asian ESG research initiatives while serving as the executive director of ASrIA from 2003 to 2008.
After moving into private investment, she was a partner at IDFC Capital, where she invested in emerging market private equity funds and became an early investor in the ESG research sector in Asia.
Following the sale of Responsible Research, Ms. Brown became a Board Director of Sustainalytics, a global ESG research provider. She is also a government-appointed council member of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, a member of the Securities and Futures Commission Takeovers Panel, and served as a member of the HKEX Listing Committee.
She works with the Asian Corporate Governance Association as a specialist consultant and has participated in numerous corporate governance and RI initiatives including the UN PRI Advisory Council.
